I just don't see journalists leaving Twitter until there is a valid competitor. Mastodon is there but it has issues and people are joining it because they feel like they have to, not because they want to. I could see Post being the new thing but it is so far behind in features - it doesn't even have native apps yet.
My biggest hope for Twitter is that Elon sells it off again in a year because he can't make anything happen with it. Not sure how likely that is but I can see someone coming in to buy it in a fire sale. My hopes would be Google, but I wouldn't really care who it is... except just not Meta.

I sure hope you are wrong about the Substack ad thing. I'd hate to have to move my properties back to Ghost after I moved them to Substack.
